We’ve all heard to the roll they’ll call up yonder
Of our fondest longing to go home
We close our eyes and see the fairest visions
Of all the saints gathered ‘round God’s throne

But we dare not sit in silence at his table
When our eyes behold the masses gathered near
Before we hear a roll call way up yonder, we must answer to a roll call down here

Who will go and feed the hungry millions?
Who will place a drop on thirsty tongues?
Who will build a house up for the homeless?
Who will go embrace the lonely ones?

Who will show compassion to the prisoner?
Who will learn to love the enemy?
Who will hear the victims of injustice?
Who will preach the year of Jubilee?
